This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to fundraise for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the number of cases is actually decreasing each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are struggling with this disease, and that means there’s a serious need for research and support.”
Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s sentiments. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
